The Intercooler

My intercooler started out as a Mitsubishi Starion unit.  I bought it on ebay for about $200.  The stock pipes coming off of the end-tanks were about 1.75" in diameter.  I chopped off the stock tubes, and widened the holes on both sides and TIG welded some pieces of aluminum tube to the end-tanks.  Its an almost perfect size.

My next intercooler will be somewhat similar, but the tubes on the end tanks will come from the top (utilizing the endtank flow design).  This way, the charge pipes will go from the turbo, behind the headlights, down into the intercooler, then back up behind the drivers side headlights, and to the throttlebody, instead of going down behind the fog lights and such.  This will also allow me to put my brake ducts back in.

The dimensions of the core are 16.5x8x2.75.
