Rear Fog Lights

Rear fog lights were a Europe only option on e30s.  The US spec cars came with sockets for rear fog light bulbs, but the wiring doesn't exist.  I took the time to make the socket in the rear bulb holder work, and wired a 12v switch (AC switch, with the labels sanded off).  One button on the switch does front fog lights, and the other controls rear fog lights.

Below are pictures of how I installed the wiring.  I used a solid copper wire to create a pin in the harness.  I wired this to the switch in the front.  I had to solder the metal plate that acts as a wire to the bulbs, so that it completes the circuit inside the bulb holder.  It's a pretty simple install, and gives a lot of light in foggy conditions allowing better vision of your car to drivers behind you.
